The updated facility will have approximately 12,500 seats and will house a range of different entertainment options from sporting events to concerts, including Rodeo Rapid City and Black Hill Powwow. The project consisted of long span trusses weighing 145,000 to 160,000 lbs utilizing two cranes with a midair splice. The LPR Preconstruction Engineers planned out the temporary bracing, shoring and crane placement to safety install the roof steel.
